If you aren’t caring for a loved one today, it is highly likely that you will care for someone in some capacity in your lifetime.  It is great that you have clicked on this page, because being aware of the services available to help you when the time comes will make your caregiving responsibilities much easier.

If you are currently caring for a loved one, no matter what level of care you are providing, you may be realizing that the journey you are embarking on will truly change your life.  Please be aware that you are not alone!  Today, there are approximately 65 million people (29% of the US Population)  who are Caregivers providing care to someone they love who has increasing needs that must be met. 

It is estimated that the economic value of the unpaid services provided loved ones by informal Caregivers (family, friends, and neighbors) is approximately $375 Billion, making informal Caregiving one of the most honorable and much needed "professions" in our society today.

  • Learn how to reduce stress and involve all of your family in the caregiving experience.
  • Get relevant, timely information (via short presentations and literature) about resources, products and services that can help to make your caregiving experience easier and more productive, and that will help you to take the best care of yourself.

 Red Cross Caregiving Training and Certification:

Viva! Choices is an Authorized Provider for Red Cross Caregiver Training.  Each course is an hour in length and you will receive a participant's booklet for use in training and for future reference at home.
